Job Description
- Responsible for day to day project operations, administration of staff and issue resolution
- Being the bar raiser, pushing the limit on how testing KPIs and support our software test engineers to deliver better experiences for our customers
- Growing and developing an incredible team of talented and motivated engineers with high expectations around individual ownership and impact
- Work closely with Onsite Manager in Etisalat UAE to align business, project management and other stakeholders to ensure smooth and quality delivery of projects in UAT phase on time.
- Regular liaise with key stakeholders including the Offshore vendor to ensure smooth operations
- Act as key point of contact for all UAT services for all consumer scope products and systems and coordinating with stakeholders internally and externally.
- Identify and document test data requirements, pre-requisites at the program/project level.
- Validate that planned testing has coverage in accordance with risk-based testing principles.
- Supervise and engage with teams to ensure timely delivery of projects
- Must have excellent verbal and written skills to be able to articulate defects to a high level of details and document them into the software tracking system
- Understanding of software development life cycle methodologies (particularly Agile) is a must. Hands-on experience with V-Model, Waterfall and Agile/Scrum process environments
- Experience with test management and execution tools (particularly IBM Rational suite, JIRA)
- Publishing reports for tracking projects’ status (Daily Status Reports & Weekly Status Reports)
- Perform Defect Management functions to ensure defect-fix SLAs are met on time.
- Proven experience and record of accomplishment in Software Industry in Telecom domain.
- In depth knowledge of SDLC process from Test planning, Test Case designing and Test Execution
- Solely responsible for managing the entire UAT Offshore Operation in Cairo (comprising of 30+ staff)
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent degree.
- Minimum 6 to 8 years of experience in testing complex software applications including test automation, test planning, test case design, and test methodologies
- Minimum 5 years of experience in leading testing teams, in a dynamic, fast time to market and customer focused environment.
