Job Description
- Determine existing data-sets within the company that are valuable to data analysis .
- Collect data required to extract actionable insights.
- Develop new tools and metrics for key decision making regarding the expansion and utilization of POS network.
- Develop robust and scalable code and applications for internal purposes to analyse complex temporal and geospatial data sets.
- Do research and build actionable visualization/ reports that drive decisions.
- Other related duties as assigned .
Job Requirements
- BC's degree in a related field (e.g., Engineering,computer science,applied math, statistics)
- experience in advanced numerical methods in data analysis working with large data sets.
- Experience in using data- exploration technique to discover new or previously unasked questions.
- Experience with tools required to extract , transform, visualize data and PI solutions.
- Experience with big data framework Hadoop,Hive,Hbase, Spark,Kafka.
- Working knowledge of statistical learning , machine learning , and stream processing.
- Working knowledge of python, R, Java, SQL,Excel,and ability to develop the required applications under different system architectures
- Fundamental understanding of statistics hypothesis testing (t-test, p-values), confidence intervals,regression, classification, and optimization.
- Strong algorithmic problem-solving skills and ability to solve complex problem with incomplete data.
- Demonstrated analytical ability , problem deconstruction , statistical competency, meticulous forensic analysis skills , data validation, and scientific rigor.
