Job Description

  • Participates and contributes to the development and refinement of the vision and strategy for the Finance Department, and contributes to the overall process of management and corporate decision making to ensure the organization maximizes its short, medium and long term profitability and returns to its shareholders
  • Leads the Finance Department, provides leadership, encourages teamwork and facilitates related professional work processes in order to achieve high-performance standards and staff pride in performance and contribution
  • Develops and ensures the implementation of the financial strategy in line with the overall organizational strategy
  • Sets the financial performance objectives and continuously monitors progress and development
  • Designs and maintains the financial framework and installs best-practices, methodologies, techniques, and principles in the department
  • Manages and oversees the implementation of financial policies and procedures in order to ensure all relevant requirements are fulfilled whilst delivering high-quality services
  • Provides support, advice, and direction on the finance related issues that have a strategic impact on the business
  • Ensures that information generated by the divisions within are accurate, timely and provide value to the organization
  • Guides the generation of all financial and non-financial performance indicators to ensure business continuity and progress
  • Ensures financial risk is mitigated and controlled with minimal revenue loss
  • Ensures accounting activities and financial statements are carried out according to policies and procedures
  • Leads the portfolio management of investment with minimal risk encounters whilst ensuring sufficient liquidity
  • Ensures that accounting record are in compliance with regulatory, EASs and IFRSs requirements
  • Conducts strategic trend analyses and benchmark historical data against actual expenses to ensure proper future financial planning
  • Manages the annual OPEX and CAPEX budgets in coordination with functional Directors across the organization and advises top management on direction
  • Builds long-lasting relationships with key players within the banking and financial institutions industry to ensure sustainability and financial stability
  • Oversees the management of procurement and contracts activities and provide guidance on potential collaborations as fit for the organization
  • Leads the general services and facilities management activities to ensure provisioning of organization-wide services and facilities as required
  • Champions the process of effective departmental manpower planning including recruiting, training, developing and enhancing the capabilities of staff; adopting and implementing relevant HR best practices and ensure a high level of employee engagement and motivated work environment

  • Variance in Actual vs. Forecast Revenues of Implemented Business Opportunities
  • Cost to revenue ratio
  • Satisfaction with legal advice provided
  • Non-compliance with financial policies and procedures identified by internal/external auditors

Job Requirements

  • University Degree in Finance or Accounting (CMA, CFA, CPA preferred)
