Job Description
The graphic designer will be directly responsible for the overall design and illustrative/graphic visuals for use in our print material: school books and handouts, marketing material, educational resources and publications and annual reports.
They will also design visuals for use in our social media platforms and website. The graphic designer will work collaboratively with the PR team to realize a final product.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Design all the organization’s print material including books, handouts, online and offline publications, educational resources, annual reports, sales and marketing materials such as catalogues, online banners, branded materials;
- Coordinate all administrative aspects of production, including preparing final designs for presentation, checking and approving color, copy, text format separations, and scaling images for print production;
- Think creatively and develop new design concepts, graphics and layouts while working closely with content creator and curriculum design team;
- Manage artwork to ensure that brand guidelines are adhered to throughout the company’s materials;
- Manage and maintain a content database of all online and offline marketing materials and content;
- Prepare designs, illustrations, and formats for use in online and offline publication design;
- Design layouts and illustrations and produce artwork such as graphs, maps, charts, posters, signs and report covers.
- Handle copyright, reprint, and permission processes
- Collaborate with content creator on brainstorming for social media campaigns.
- Incorporate recommended changes into the final design and review designs for errors before printing or publishing them.
- Reports to Content Creator.
- Works with PR Team and Curriculum Design Team
- Perform all related duties as required.
Job Requirements
Education:
- B.A. in Applied Arts with a major in Graphic Design
Work experience:
- 0-3 years
Skills (acquired) and Abilities (talents):
- Proven graphic designing experience
- Possession of a creative flair, versatility, conceptual ability and originality
- Demonstrable graphic design skills with a strong portfolio
- Ability to interact, communicate and present ideas
- Up to date with industry leading software and technologies
- Highly proficient in all design aspects
- Professionalism regarding time, costs and deadlines
