Job Description
- Responsible for the Project’s formal relationship with all suppliers.
- This includes maintaining an up-to-date record of contractor selection criteria, developing a register of authorized vendors, preserving an up to date list of the Project’s service prices, meeting and contracting with suppliers and explaining the Project’s HSE standards to them.
- Design and implement various cost effective strategies and monitor inventory of all repair parts and general supplies and identify all vendors for new customer requirements and evaluate all purchase requisitions and maintain accuracy .
- Manage all purchase orders for appropriately selected sources and obtain all required approvals for same and administer procurement of all goods and services for all corporate offices and identify and obtain quotations from selected sources.
- Understand and apply the standard procedures of the purchasing process
- Maintain an effective and solid relationship with all vendors.
- Monitor all purchase orders and maintain regular follow up with all suppliers and customers and coordinate with vendors and place requests for all prices and monitor all bidding activities and recommend an efficient source for corporate staff.
- Monitor all inventory of products and prepare all purchase plans to meet all operations demands and maintain an efficient audit computer system and ensure accuracy in all financial information and assist in the distribution of all mails and manage all requests.
- The CPO shall finally submit monthly reports of volume of business handled per contractor.
Job Requirements
- Candidate has 8 – 10 years of contracting and procurement experience from the construction sector
- Has a strong network of relevant (forklifts, bobcats, generators, small building contractors, office interiors, portable floodlights, sandwich panel, caravans, etc, etc) suppliers from either or both Aswan or Cairo.
- Must have a strong command of English and fluent written and read Arabic.
- The position is politically sensitive given the interest of local businesses in this project and the personal integrity of the candidate must be absolutely unquestionable.
- Solid MS Office skills are needed as well as an ability to work under pressure to create positive and lasting relationships with vendors.
- The project is for 2 years in Aswan City .
- Housing on site, meals, laundry and Transportation .
