Job Description

  • We are looking to hire a Technical Support Specialist who is interested in growing their IT career by joining our forward-thinking technical team. In this position, you will be providing technical support to Damlag's staff members, so your communication skills will be constantly developing.
  • In addition, you will install Linux & Microsoft software, communicate with ISP & Telecom companies about our network & internet connections.
  • You get to ensure that all company's IT assets are properly functioning such that our work environment is both safe, efficiently running and fun to work in!

Key Roles and Responsibilities

  • Working on Linux platform "Mainly Ubuntu" and Microsoft Windows.
  • Set-up and maintain Company's hardware, Install and repair Linux and Windows OS's on employees machines with standardized application.
  • Provide technical support, diagnose, and solve employees problems that develop in their operations, escalating unresolved problems.
  • Follow up about the Internet and network connection problems with ISP and telecommunications companies.
  • Follow-up about the status of the company's hardware, such as "Printers, Switches, Fingerprint Devices, UPS's, Access Points, Routers, etc..", to make sure that there are no problems in any device.
  • Follow-up with Human Resources to update new / resigned staff members' accounts and their accessibility as per company's regulations.
  • Maintain the company's different applications and access to those applications.

Job Requirements

Job Qualifications and Behavioural Competencies

  • 0- 1 year of experience in a similar position, preferably in the technology sector.
  • Familiar with firewalls and load balancer "software and hardware".
  • Has some knowledge with DNS and DHCP servers, and general networking knowledge.
  • Familiar with Linux operating systems.
  • Familiar with Windows operating systems.
  • Hardware maintenance.
  • Problem solving, communication and follow up until resolution is reached.
  • Good command of English language
