Job Description

  • Account Director is primarily responsible for the management of relationships with clients. the Account Director also co-ordinates the resources needed to service projects, builds strategic operational plans and balances the expectations of clients with the execution of creative work.
  • Account director should respond to their queries in a timely manner, manage quarterly business reviews and upsell new functionality and should have excellent communication and negotiation skills and be customer service oriented.

Responsibilities:

  • Planning budgets and activities for account management in the company
  • Setting up goals and objectives for all subordinate staff
  • Providing feedback and counsel to account staff to meet quotas/objectives

Key Accountability:

  • Liaising with and acting as the link between the client and the company by maintaining regular contacts with both parties to ensure an effective flow of communication and handle clients’ individual needs.
  • Managing a portfolio of accounts to achieve long-term success.
  • Setting and tracking sales account targets, aligned with company objectives.
  • Liaising with Creative, Technical and production departments to ensure timely, efficient delivery of solutions based on client needs.
  • Directing and Supervising Account Managers to ensure they build strong relationships with their accounts, deliver innovative plans and demonstrate outstanding client service.
  • Maintaining relationships with current and potential accounts and developing business relationships to acquire new accounts.
  • Brainstorming creative ideas as well as directing marketing plans and projects.
  • Handling marketing campaigns from A to Z including all its aspects from consultancy to execution including briefing the creative and medical members to assist with the formulation of the marketing strategies.
  • Presenting and discussing the campaign details with clients to negotiate different aspects of the campaign and seek approval or modification for creative work.
  • Managing and enhance client’s brand and reputation in the market.
  • Handling budgets, managing campaign costs and price negotiations with clients.
  • Regularly monitoring the profitability of the accounts and the effectiveness of the campaigns.
  • Establishing relationships with new clients and maintaining and nurturing business relationships with existing clients.
  • Report on the status of accounts and transactions.

Job Requirements

Required Experience:

  • 10+ years of Account Management experience Proven work experience as an account director
  • Successful track record of building exceptional client relationships; necessary capability, presence and professionalism to inspire confidence and credibility with clients and colleagues.
  • Excellent communicator – written, oral and active listener. Possesses a high degree of emotional intelligence.
  • Able to manage complex projects to time and budget.
  • Able to work on own initiative and with limited supervision.
  • Ability to give persuasive presentations that establish personal credibility.
