Description

Job Purpose:

To be responsible for production infrastructure (DB & Middleware) deployments, providing technical solutions and the production infrastructure deployments (new Installations – fixes – enhancements - upgrades). Participate in projects. Follow deployments for stable production infrastructure environment

Job Description:

1.Perform the deployments of new installations, fixes, enhancements & upgrades on production infrastructure environment
2.Provide on-spot solutions for system technical problems during the deployments on production infrastructure environment
3.Support in the preparation of key presentations, strategy documentation and other documents
4.Communicate with IT concerned teams for all of the related infrastructure deployment details.
5.Coordinate with change management team for proper control over production infrastructure environment & release management team in managing the releases will be deployed on production
6.Check the related change requests status before any change ensuring the proper recovery plan.
7.Validate & revise all Changes’ rosters that IT Infrastructure Deployment team are involved in.
8.Assist in developing and implementation of infrastructure deployment plan. Identify defects and inform them to the concerned stakeholders.
9.Support the integration (middleware) between business applications on Preprod environments & Support WebSphere Application Server, WebSphere MQ, ESB, IIB and related products in production deployment issues in a timely manner
10.Review deployment steps (Roster) for presented production changes to Change Advisory Board to avoid any gap, conflict and misalignment.
11.Simulate infrastructure production deployments on Preprod environment providing the end result to concerned stakeholders.
12.Work with Application Management and Technology infrastructure teams to deploy and troubleshoot the relevant infrastructure applications and throughout deployment life-cycle and support post-deployment sanity testing done by IT/Business stakeholders.
13.Act as first line contact for infrastructure deployment related inquiries and issues.

14.Follows all relevant department policies, processes, standard operating procedures and instructions so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner

Day- to-day operations

15.Follow the day-to-day operations related to own jobs in the IT Operations department to ensure continuity of work

16.Comply with all relevant CBE regulations, banking laws, AML regulations and internal CIB policies and code of conduct in order to maintain CIB’s sound legal position and mitigate any potential risks

Qualifications

Qualifications & Experience

 Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering / Computer Science or its equivalent
 4-6 years of relevant IT experience
 Very Good hands-on knowledge of IT technical knowledge
 Very Good knowledge of database & middleware

 Strong communication, interpersonal and presentation skills.
 Very good command of English language.
 Very good reasoning and analytical skills
 Able to influence without authority
 Excellent problem solving skills
