Job Description

  • To report on the overall QHS trends based on the provided project KPI’s and criteria provided by QHS Manager.
  • Perform random audits on documentation daily and internal audits monthly on the ISO documents according to the standard of 9001:2015 & 45001:2018.
  • Perform inspections on PPE and Safety Tools daily.
  • Perform inspections on vehicles and drivers daily.
  • Perform random audits as a member of the quality team.
  • To advise improvement areas based on the analysis of the trends.
  • To act as overall focal point for any QHS related activities within the project or assigned area of work.
  • To prepare, implement, and modify as required, the Project QHS safety plan based on Client QHS requirements, standards, Local Legal Requirements, Customer QHS requirements and any other such legislation.
  • To prepare, implement, and modify as required, the Project Risk Assessment, wherein all project-related hazards are identified, adequately controlled and monitored to reduce risk to employees, contractors, members of the public and any others affected by Operations.
  • To conduct training & awareness sessions, as required, with Client personnel & contractors, related to the project or assigned area of work.
  • To be the lead advisor on any incident investigation, including conducting effective and pertinent investigation analysis, reporting on the incident as per Client standards, proposing and following up on determined corrective and preventive actions.
  • Perform planned internal audits to ensure compliance to the QHS requirements.
  • Capable to compile reports on a periodic basis to QHS Manager.
  • New injected cars inspection before be joined using Vehicle Inspection List.
  • Provide induction for new drivers.
  • Inspect raw materials to ensure consistency and integrity.
  • Maintain, test and troubleshoot all instrumentation devices.
  • Test a certain percentage of all products based on industry standards.
  • Report problems or concerns to senior management immediately.
  • Manage our quality assurance division and ensure all employees meet their required quotas.
  • Provide training and support with the QA team.
  • Create an effective, efficient testing protocol to be used across all services.
  • To prepare, implement, and modify as required, the Project quality manual/plan based on Client requirements to achieve customer satisfaction.
  • Develop and execute health and safety plans in the workplace according to legal guidelines.
  • Prepare and enforce policies to establish a culture of health and safety.
  • Evaluate practices, procedures and facilities to assess risk and adherence to the law.
  • Conduct training and presentations for health and safety matters and accident prevention.
  • Monitor compliance with policies and laws by inspecting employees and operations.
  • Inspect equipment and machinery to observe possible unsafe conditions.
  • Investigate accidents or incidents to discover causes and handle worker’s compensation claims.
  • Recommend solutions to issues, improvement opportunities or new prevention measures.
  • Report on health and safety awareness, issues and statistics.
  • Deep understanding of legal health and safety guidelines.
  • Ability in producing reports and developing relevant policies.
  • Good knowledge of data analysis and risk assessment.
  • Excellent organizational and motivational skills.
  • Outstanding attention to detail and observation ability.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Auditing sites daily then report any violation or risk not accountable to QHS Manager

Job Requirements

  • 1:3 years’ experience as QHS Officer (or similar) role, preferably in the telecom industry, with experience in leading a team and/or advising on QHS activities to senior personnel is highly desired;
  • Minimum high school (or equivalent) education with additional accreditation in OH&S and Quality from a recognized institute is preferred (e.g. OSHA, OHS Specialist, ISO 9001 and ISO 45001  etc.)
  • Additional qualifications/certifications in Occupational Health & Safety is must (e.g. Risk Assessment, Electrical Safety, First Aid, Fire Fighting, Working at heights, PPE Inspections and DDC, etc.)
  • Must be proficient in the usage of computers, with knowledge in standard office programs (such as Microsoft Office ’Outlook/Excel/Word/PowerPoint’ etc. ).
  • Good communication skills and presentation skills, capable to liaise with customer personnel and senior project personnel;
  •  Good command of spoken and written English is required; 
  •  Capable to drive and perform site visits as needed by the project KPI’s; 
  •  Able to meet deadlines proactively;
  •  Capable to audit on sites, cars and offices in all over Egypt.
  •  Driving license is a must; 
  •  Telecom Background is a must.
