Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Accounting Manager with 7+ years of experience in accounting, including at least 2 years in a managerial role. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing accounting operations, preferably in the FMCG sector.
- Manage and oversee the day-to-day accounting functions, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable and financial reporting.
- Ensure accurate and timely posting of transactions, and review of journal entries and reconciliations.
- Supervise and guide the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with accounting standards and company policies.
- Lead the preparation of financial reports, balance sheets, income statements, cash flow statements, and other management reports.
- Analyze financial performance, identify variances, and provide actionable insights to senior management.
- Coordinate the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts in collaboration with other departments.
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of accountants, ensuring high performance and adherence to deadlines.
- Provide training and guidance to junior team members on accounting processes, best practices, and compliance standards.
- Ensure that accounting operations comply with legal, regulatory, and company policies, and support external audits.
- Review and improve internal controls to safeguard the company’s financial assets and ensure accuracy in reporting.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA, CMA, or equivalent certification is preferable.
- 7+ years of experience in accounting, with at least 2 years in a managerial or supervisory role. FMCG experience is preferred.
- Proven track record of managing accounting operations, preparing financial reports, and leading a team.
- Experience with accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar) and advanced Excel skills.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and tax regulations.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
