Job Description
Job Purpose
The Engineering Manager plays a leadership role in the engineering department where he seeks excellence in all engineering disciplines inclusive of data processing, quality assurance, application development, analytics, machine learning, algorithms, and data warehousing.
Job Responsibilities
- Designing new equipment, processes, procedures, and systems
- Responding to breakdowns
- Investigating production problems
- Making improvements to current operations to enhance efficiency
- Supervising engineering and technical staff
- Create and implement best practice engineering vision, strategy, policies, processes, and procedures to aid and improve business performance
- Ensure that engineering strategies and processes are in place to meet business objectives and operational needs in terms of price, quality, and delivery targets and which enables the company to function and compete effectively in the market
- Evaluate the challenges faced by the business and take action to mitigate risks and develop opportunities
- Contribute to overall business strategy and annual budget process
- Take ownership of the engineering policy, guidelines, and any associated documents
- Initiate and develop creative and innovative engineering processes
Job Requirements
Educational Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
Experience
- 15 to 20 Years of experience in related field and industry
- Experience in the Engineering department with various backgrounds.
- Mechanical, Electrical, and technical Engineering Backgrounds are preferred
Skills
- Analytical skills for evaluating information carefully and solving complex problems.
- Communication skills for overseeing staff and working with other management personnel. They need to be able to effectively communicate instructions while leading the team to meet their goals.
- Detail-oriented for understanding complex systems and the ability to pay attention to details, as a minor error can result in major problems.
- Math skills, including calculus and other advanced mathematics for developing new processes and products.
- Organizational skills for keeping track of various budgets, employees, and schedules simultaneously
