Job Description
- Attend progress meetings, discuss and suggest technical proposals.
- Take part in the selection process of subcontractors and suppliers for projects.
- Coordinate with quantity surveyors or payment appreciations and change orders.
- Coordinate between the construction and engineering teams ensuring that the construction requirements are conveyed to the engineering teams and that the engineering deliverables satisfy the construction requirements.
- Review subcontractors' invoices.
- Follow up with subcontractors during negotiations and offer award or subcontract terms, performance and payments.
- Take part in the contractual aspect of projects.
- Take part in the project management review and risk management review.
- Document project issues/conditions.
- Maintain organized and detailed records and documents of all projects (i.e. working drawings, quantity surveying, purchase orders … etc.) and coordinate with different teams to get these documents issued.
- Close monitoring of staff, contractors, consultants and suppliers’ activities.
- Check the quality records of the work executed with QC Manager.
- Handle the finish works to the QC team.
- Implement and solve technical problems that arise.
- Control and maintain the safe, smooth progress of construction works.
- Communicate the projects’ progress and problems/risks/concerns to Senior Management.
- Reviewing the QS of executed activities.
- Responsible for issuing all PRs according to procurement plan and time schedule
- Monitor material control management with stores department and issue a weekly material control report to both the head office and site.
Job Requirements
- BSc in Civil or Architectural Engineering.
- At least 10 years of experience in the same field.
- Excellent command of English.
