Job Description
- Prepares interior design briefs for review by the Development team.
- Assists in designs development by utilizing specifications, sketches and ideas on developing designs and ensures that the designs are complying to the interior design brief and the preset budgets.
- Meets clients to discuss their requirements and ideas and provides recommendations on color schemes, wallpapers, fabrics, fittings, lightings, and furniture.
- Reviews specifications, cost estimates, project’s timeline, and construction material recommendations submitted by other designers to ensure that all aspects are aligned with the preset agreements.
- Researches, decides, sources, records, and purchases materials & products while aligning with the Supply Chain department to ensure smooth & effective procurement process.
- Oversees the project’s construction & implementation related to rental units to ensure that specified materials are being used, dimensions are as drawn, and quality is maintained.
- Prepares detailed drawings and typical details for each design element to support workshop team for fabrication process.
- Prepares presentation for materials, hard / soft documents to support the showroom by considering materials, effects and costs, liaises with manufacturers, arranges samples and archives reference data for future reference.
- Prepares Terms of Reference documents for the appointment of interior design consultants if needed and assists in shortlisting the qualified interior design consultants.
- Co-ordinates and prepares as necessary presentation boards & materials for presentation to senior management.
- Assists in liaison with the management and ensures their requirements with respect to the maintenance of the finished project are incorporated.
- Assists in liaison with the Contracts Program to ensure that the interior design development is aligned with the ongoing project development.
- Reviews interior design documentation to ensure that they comply with approved marketing drawings.
- Assists the Projects team in the processing of payments to Consultants if needed.
- Perform all other relevant tasks assigned by the direct manager.
Job Requirements
- BS degree in Architecture, Applied Arts major Interior Design & Furniture or similar.
- 5+ years of proven working experience in decorating interior spaces (consultations, renovations, space planning and new constructions) with excellent portfolio of previous works.
- High expertise in layout color schemes, lighting, materials selection, fittings, furniture and all installations.
- Proficient in AutoCAD, SketchUp, 3D Max, Illustrator and other design programs.
- Excellent command of English language (spoken & written)
- High Communication and presentation skills.
