Job Description
- Record daily financial transactions, including cash receipts, vendor invoices, and vendor payments, in the general ledger timely and accurately;
- Review general ledger accounts and prepare and adjust journal entries;
- Perform account analysis and reconciliation, including bank statements and intercompany general ledger accounts;
- Assist with forecasting project-related spend and monitoring of expenditure against the approved budgets;
- Provide needed support to the Accounting Manager with year-end annual audits and tax compliance;
- Maintain records by filing documents both hard-copy and electronically;
- Maintain day-to-day control of all accounting systems to ensure the complete and accurate processing of financial data in accordance with internal procedures;
- Co-ordination of tax-related matters, with the support from the Financial Controller and external tax advisors where appropriate;
- Analyze expenses for cost centers, departments and projects;
- Coordinate/oversee annual physical inventory or stock take;
- Handle ad-hoc requests on a timely manner;
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in business administration- Accounting
- Minimum 2-4 years of experience in a similar role;
- Real estate experience and property accounting experience preferred;
- Sound fundamental accounting skills required for account reconciliations and journal entry preparation;
- Ability to establish high level of credibility, managing and fostering strong working relationships with colleagues and other involved parties;
- Eager to learn and take on new responsibilities;
- Advanced PC skills, including use of advanced Excel is a must;
