Job Description
We are looking for a Financial Analyst who will play a significant role in contributing to the growth our company through providing accurate and data based information on company’s profitability, solvency, stability and liquidity. You will research and analyse financial information to help company make well informed decisions, write reports and monitor financial movements and investments.
Duties/Responsibilities
- Perform financial forecasting, reporting, and operational metrics tracking
- Analyse and improve financial data and create financial models for decision support
- Evaluate financial performance by comparing and analysing actual results with plans and forecasts and prepare reports for regular management reviews
- Analyse past results, perform variance analysis, identify trends, and make recommendations for optimization
- Guide the cost analysis process by establishing and enforcing policies and procedures
- Recommend actions by analyzing and interpreting data and making comparative analyses
- Perform market research, data mining, business intelligence and valuation comps to support internal financial analysis
- Consolidate and analyse financial data (budgets, income statement forecasts etc) taking into account company’s goals and financial standing
- Work closely with the accounting team to assemble and summarise data to structure reports on financial status and risks
- Consult with management to guide and influence long term and strategic decision making within the broadest scope
- Evaluating capital expenditures and asset depreciation
- Establishing and evaluating records, statements, and profit plans.
- Develop financial models to support valuation, planning, and forecasting
- Aid in the capital budgeting and expenditure planning processes
- Maintain up-to-date technical knowledge of financial instruments, market conditions, and trends
Job Requirements
- Hands on experience with statistical analysis and statistical packages
- Proven knowledge of financial forecasting and diagnosis, corporate finance and information analysis
- Strong analytical, strategic thinking and data gathering skills
- High proficiency in financial modeling
- Proficiency with spreadsheets, databases and financial software applications.
- Deep understanding of the financial system and institutions
- Self-starter with excellent interpersonal communication and problem-solving skills
- Well informed in current financial subjects, accounting, tax laws, money market and business environments
- Knowledge of ERP systems and similar technologies
- Ability to streamline functions and passion to learn and grow
- Strong interpersonal skills, including written and oral communication skills
- Comfortable dealing with ambiguity and the ability to work independently
- Excellent time management, organizational skills with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines
- BSc degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related Field
