Job Description
Main Job Duties:
- Direct and control staff in transport depots to ensure that they carry out their responsibilities effectively and provide a high quality service to customers.
- Assist in the development of the company’s transport strategy to ensure the provision of the best possible quality of service and to maximize company profitability.
- Develop and maintain the transport budget to ensure that services are provided to the required standard and within budgeted limits.
- Develop an integrated network of transport services to ensure that the best possible use is made of company transport resources.
- Maintain regular contact with customers to resolve any problems
- Identify new business opportunities and improve service levels and efficiency.
- Maintain harmonious employment relations and ensure that all staff are appropriately trained and motivated.
- Develop and maintain good relationships with outside agencies to ensure that the company complies with all legal requirements and regulations and to enhance the company’s reputation.
- Develop all necessary systems and procedures to ensure that the highest standards of engineering and safety are maintained and that all statutory requirements are met.
- Provide advice to managers and staff on all transport related issues.
- Maintain an awareness of new developments in transport to ensure that the company continues to provide the most effective service possible and complies with all regulations

- At least 10 years experience on distribution & logistics
