Job Description
- Set a schedule including all Accounting tasks and coordinate with the concerned parties.
- Monitor all Payables and receivables and ensure their validity.
- Follow up on the execution of the Department’s work plans and fix all schedule deviations.
- Ensure that all financial policies are being applied, concerning all aspects of cost.
- Ensure that each entry, regarding expenditures and Income, is done and accurate.
- Prepare all financial statements for the yearly closing.
- Prepare the budget
- Oversee all periodic and yearly inventories and their matching with the accounts balance.
- Lead, oversee, develop and motivate the team to achieve the department’s objectives
- Work with external auditors to ensure correct and timely closing and reporting at year-end.
- Create and monitor an effective internal audit system.
- Help with quarterly and year-end financial audit activities and the annual corporate financial controls audit.
- Ensure timely completion of the audit.
- Assess current practices and procedures, and make recommendations for improvements.
- Ensure compliance of all accounting processes to that of the organization’s goals.
Job Requirements
- Minimum 10 to 15 years proven experience
- Bachelor degree in Finance or Accounting
- Professional accounting qualification such as CMA, CPA is preferable
- Experience in a construction Engineering field is preferably
- Ability to direct and supervise
- Work accurately with close attention to detail and maintain the confidentiality of information
- Advanced computer skills on MS Office, accounting software, and databases (e.g. SAP)
- Strong written and excellent communication skills
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills
- Working knowledge of all statutory legislation and regulations
