Senior Business Analyst

Typically a senior business analyst takes on complex, high profile projects. While the business analyst activities might closely resemble those of a mid-level business analyst, the responsibilities are greater because of the nature of the projects themselves.Project complexity can take many forms. Multiple, integrated systems create complexity because new requirements need to be traced through the inter-related systems. Multiple stakeholders across several departments create complexity because of the number of perspectives that need to be blended into the final solution. Team make-up can also create complexity because when you blend resources from multiple organizations to implement a project, communication becomes more complex.

This position leads the requirements:

• Development for applying technology to satisfy business needs.
• Defines and documents internal and external user interfaces and supports system and data requirement clarification and definition.
• Acting as the liaison among internal stakeholders to analyze, document, communicate and validate business and system requirements for platform applications. In addition, the job will entail working with internal applications and integrating them with the project platform.
• Define and document internal and external user interfaces and support system and data requirement clarification and definition.
• Pro-actively communicate and collaborate with external and internal customers to analyze information needs and functional requirements and deliver the needed artifacts (i.e., functional requirements, business requirements document, use cases, GUI and screen and Interface designs).
• Drive and challenge business units on their assumptions of how they will successfully execute their plans.
• Develop requirements specifications according to standard templates.
• Collaborate with developers and subject matter experts to establish the technical vision and analyze trade-offs between usability and performance needs.
• Define and document internal and external user interfaces and support system and data requirement clarification and definition.

• Direct the requirements development for applying technology to satisfy business needs.
• Elicit requirements using interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops, surveys, site visits, business process descriptions, use cases, scenarios, business analysis, task and work-flow analysis.
• Critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts and decompose high-level information into details
• Work with functional leads to transform and develop new requirements into design and implementation.
