Job Summery:
- To work as part of a team, carrying out audit testing as instructed and gaining an understanding of the fundamental principles of the audit process
Financial
- Completes work set by senior/ICA and meets time deadlines accordingly
- Deals with ad-hoc requests with minimal disruption to their work
- Accurately records time spent and documents reasons for overruns
- Agrees time allotted for each task and provides regular updates to senior colleagues on progress
- Makes managers aware as soon as possible when they are available in order to maximise productivity
People
- Attends departmental and office meetings
- Presents a professional image of the firm
- Establishes good working relationships with colleagues and client team members
- Requests assistance/clarification from senior colleagues as necessary
- Approaches day-to-day tasks with an open mind, is willing to receive constructive feedback on tasks and displays this in later work
- Ensures assignment appraisals are completed

Clients and client service
- Completes audit tests in assigned sections of fieldwork
- Checks, reads and adds up sets of accounts accurately and completely

- Creates a positive impression with the client, dealing with any communications in a professional manner
- Has an understanding of the client's key business drivers and applies this knowledge to the audit process
- Begins to use knowledge from previous assignments to recognise and understand recurring issues and themes
- Makes recommendations with proper consideration of pros, cons and consequences
- Refers to the firm's risk management policies and procedures and the audit manual
- Has an awareness of the firm's ethical requirements
- Understands the objectives of work set and how it fits into the overall audit approach
- Able to identify and record simple audit errors
- Understands who the 'client' is and maintains consistent level of good client service
- Understands sensitivity of client engagements and maintains client confidentiality
- Able to explain to clients the purpose of the test being done

Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting / Relevant certificate
- From 0 to 2 years’ experience in Internal / External Auditing
- Experience of using Microsoft packages, internet and email.
- Experience of working in an office environment/related work experience
