Job Description
We are looking for a full-stack WooCommerce developer with strong PHP background. He will lead the development of new use cases, testing, and integration with other platforms. We aspire to work with a smart developer who is result-oriented, has attention to detail, great problem solver, and a team player.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Understand Nomad Story’s values to the customers and help to emphasize them.
- Collaborate with the product manager to launch new features.
- Work with graphic designers and convert designs to visual elements.
- Develop, test and deploy new use cases using either plugins or PHP code.
- Make sure all integrated systems run smoothly and synchronized correctly.
- The knowledge of Git to get the latest code, update parts of the code and make changes in other developer's code
- Maintain and ensure mobile responsiveness of all features.
- Maintain code integrity and organization according to our standards (clear and well-documented code).
- Perform upgrades for WordPress/WooCommerce as well as plugins/extensions without losing customization built on
- top of them.
- Execute unit testing and functional testing before the UAT
Job Requirements
Skills and Expertise
- 3+ years of experience in WordPress / WooCommerce and PHP.
- Expert in HTML, HTML5, CSS, CSS3, JavaScript. Knowledge of third-party libraries like jQuery, LESS, Angular and
- React JS is a plus.
- Expert in PHP, JavaScript, and various DBMS technology (MySQL).
- Expert in code versioning tools (such as Git) to get the latest code, update parts of the code, make changes in other
- developer's code and implement each feature (change of code) independent of the others.
- Expert in APIs and WooCommerce Plugins (including customization for open source plugins).
- Expert in integrating with different platforms such as email marketing systems, inventory systems, shipping
- systems, payment gateways, accounting systems, and others.
- Know how to integrate with Google Analytics and make sure all codes are correctly set in order to generate various
- reports
- Good Knowledge of digital marketing supporting functions (Facebook Pixel, Google Tags, ..etc.)
- Good Knowledge of SEO compliance.
- Good Knowledge of the basic principles of prototype design and UI /UX design.
- Works within the agile model.
