Job Description
- Establishes robust demand forecasts by utilizing relevant statistical tools and using market and sales information including planned sales orders, customer contracts, inter company standing orders, promotional activity, seasonality, brand changes, etc.
- Cooperates with sales, marketing, customer service personnel to deliver an accurate demand driven forecast plans
- Conducts analysis of sales forecasts together with marketing and finance insight
- Reports on forecast accuracy
- Coordinates forecast updates and manages demand changes from key areas within business.
- May also have responsibility for customer collaboration in key customers
- Reviews stock-keeping units' coverage profiles and takes corrective actions.
- Manages safety stocks and stock-keeping units' selection process.
- Identifies potential capacity restrictions which impact goals and develop plans to alleviate restrictions.
- May manages medium and long term capacity trade off with plants.
- Monitors customer and inventory trends, and recommends short term forecast adjustments.
- Assists with the adjustment of the inventory optimization plan to ensure maximization of gross margin return on investment and minimize inventory carrying costs.
- Communicates decisions and supply impacts to all stakeholders in the planning process
Job Requirements
- Bachelor degree of Engineering. Major: Production / Industrial
- 3-4 years of experience in the same field
- CPIM certificate will be an asset
