Job Description
Job Purpose:
- Design, build, and implement 5S and Health & Safety policies
Job Description:
- To implement 5S and health and safety rules and standards in the Station/Hub, at the same time promote these rules to get buying in from operations team. To be an ambassador of 5S and H&S.
- This role will be based at the main facility and will be a key team member to put excellent 5S standards.
- The role may require travel to other delivery stations in the UAE.
Key Responsibilities:
- Be a resource for 5S on the floor and management
- Train employees on 5S principles
- Audit warehouse, offices and parking facilities
- Draw sketches of things to build
- Prepare and post visual components on shop floor
- Work with personnel on the floor
- Implement 5S throughout the plant
- Implement H & S policies and ensure they are being followed by all employees
- Perform other duties as assigned
Additional Responsibilities:
- Provide on-the- job coaching for new employees
Job Requirements
Minimum Qualification / Experience / Training:
- Associates Degree of 2 years or equivalent
- Read and write English fluently
- Logistics background is preferred.
Technical Knowledge:
- Ability to train on the 5S program
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel needed
- Knowledge of or understanding of 5S Program
- Good understanding of Health and Safety in the operations environment
- Use of tools and equipment used for 5S
- Ability to plan daily & weekly tasks
