Job Description

  • Responsible for the implementation of the Department's goals and work according to the basic principles of work that has been clarified by the human resources management
  • Ensuring Support in all Human Resources functions in the company.
  • Optimize organizational delivery by maintaining a critical mass of competent people whilst ensuring best fit appointments through the utilization of appropriate recruitment and selection processes and the management thereof.
  • Ensure that individual, team and operational performance is at an optimal level through the collation and processing of performance management and enhancement processes and methodologies
  • Ensure staff are informed and well educated about the utilization and management of their benefits as it relates to Retirement Risk as well as Medical Aid.
  • Provide support and advice to enhance employee and line management interface in relation to the consistent and fair management and application of all labor relations legislation, processes.
  • Ensure successful integration of employees through the application and maintenance of best practice orientation, probation and transition management processes.
  • Establish and maintain appropriate policies, processes and procedures relating to all aspects of HR management including updating policy manuals.
  • Enhance employee engagement through the communication of relevant HR and other management communication.
  • Create a highly visible and positive experience and atmosphere through the professional engagement with both internal and external contacts including dealing with inquiries in a courteous and timeous manner.
  • Pro actively ensure compliance to all relevant legislative and company requirements as it pertains to people related matters and including all activities in the area of responsibility.

Job Requirements

  • Relevant degree
  • 8 years experience in HRM
  • Deep knowledge of HR practices, processes, labor legislation and people
  • A proven track record in HR Management.
  • Relationship management and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to multi-task several ongoing activities.
  • Excellent interpersonal and influencing skills combined with a strong customer service ethic.
  • Understand and interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Give full attention to what other people are saying, take time to understand the points being made, ask questions as appropriate, and not interrupt at inappropriate times.
  • Communicate information and ideas clearly and concisely, in written and orally.
  • Possess high energy, initiative, resilience, work ethic, stamina, and unquestionable integrity to perform consistently and at a high level in a very demanding environment.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with executive staff and with other stakeholders.
  • Quickly adapt as requirements/tasks change.
  • Able to work under critical time deadlines and pressures.
  • Able to work within collaborative groups.
  • Self-motivated, attention to detail, flexible, change-oriented and team player.
