Overview / Responsibilities

Wood is currently recruiting for a Project Control Manager with extensive experience in the refinery / petrochemical industry. 


Main Duties and responsibilities


  • Support Project Director for all Project Control activities
  • Identifies and establishes the communications interfaces essential for the delivery of cost, planning, scheduling and risk deliverables and services.
  • Act as the focal point with the client and any affiliate/contractor Project Controllers as appropriate to ensure costs and progress are reported accurately, ensure alignment with the project reporting requirements and ensure timely and accurate cost and progress reporting
  • Develops the project Work and Cost Breakdown Structure (WBS & CBS)
  • Monitor overall project / assignment progress status, achievement and non-achievement of major milestones and analyse and forecast performance in relation to plan
  • Identification, monitoring and reporting against the project baseline providing early warning to the Project Manager of any potential slippages
  • Report project status and KPI to management
Skills / Qualifications

Main candidate requirements to cover the profile


  • Bachelor degree 
  • Minimum 15 years of experience in Project Control with 5 years in managerial role
  • Proven Planning and Cost control experience (at least 10 years) on EPC projects with construction experience
  • Excellent relational skills
  • Proactiveness and problem-solving attitude
  • Mandatory Oracle Primavera P6 ability and proficient in project control systems
