Job Description

ABOUT THE JOB

The Events Production Manager will be responsible for events production, management, and commercial procurement, in addition to contacting and making plans with venues, vendors, and production/printing houses to ensure the most efficient delivery with the highest quality standards.

The responsibility of the Events Production Manager will include identifying and validating production technical specifications, verifying production/printing quotation, negotiating with vendors, formulating and preparing proposals, and preparing the stages of process management, starting with site inspection. 

The Events Production Manager will be responsible for timelines, managing documentation, assigning budgets, coordinating technical aspects, and collaborating with the company’s various departments.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensuring that purchasing policies and processes are in place and meet business objectives and operational needs in terms of price, quality, and delivery targets, which enables the company to function and compete effectively in the market
  • Creating and reviewing opportunities to implement best practice purchasing policies, processes, and procedures to aid and improve business performance and deliver best value and business savings
  • Evaluating the challenges faced by the business and taking action to reduce risks and develop opportunities
  • Utilizing appropriate resources, including Supplier Development, to ensure appropriate supplier partnerships and the delivery of sourced products as required.
  • Managing relationships with suppliers and selecting and establishing partnerships with new suppliers
  • Negotiating and managing contract terms with suppliers to ensure value for money, quality standards, and delivery terms with technical and operational input from stakeholders and colleagues
  • Reviewing and negotiating existing agreements to optimize commercial terms
  • Assessing tenders provided by potential suppliers
  • Working with suppliers and having a process in place to measure effective performance, quality, and compliance
  • Ensuring that the function operates in accordance with any health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures to ensure the safety and wellbeing of staff and visitors
  • Clarifying and resolving design issues and determining the required measurements and their feasibility to produce all items as required

  • Testing product designs using models, prototypes, and design programs
  • Setting, communicating, and maintaining timelines and priorities on every project
  • Selecting, ordering, and purchasing materials
  • Following up with providers and vendors for the materials to be delivered on time and with the requested quality
  • Having overall control of ongoing production operations
  • Communicating effectively with various departments and management staff through channeling and utilizing strong interpersonal skills
  • Managing various manufacturing operations as per the set parameters and standards, as well as having experience in developing procedures for operational excellence
  • Staying up-to-date and having significant awareness of current design trends and influences

  • Experience in contract and supplier management in KSA and the Gulf region is highly preferred
  • Experience in Project Management, Production Management, or a relevant field

TECHNICAL QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor degree, University graduate or equivalent
  • 5–8 years of experience in the field of Events Production Management 
  • Fluency in the English language is a must
  • Strong analytical skills
