- Carry out repairs to equipment effectively and efficiently, either alone and/or as part of a team to achieve the targeted engineering KPIs.
- Handing over and continued jobs to next shift clearly and smoothly.
- Receive equipment breakdown calls and attend to breakdowns onsite ensuring that there is always a rapid response and that terminal equipment breakdown time is minimized.
- Distributing jobs/work orders to available service technicians, taking into account the capability of each and ensure work orders are completed on time.
- Liaise effectively with external contractors.
- Ensure all Health and Safety standards are met and that all equipment complies with Company and legal standards.
- Work in a clean and orderly manner in compliance with the Company’s 5S Code of Practice in all equipment and working areas.
- Assist in training technicians whenever required to increase work efficiency.
- Take diligent care of all SCCT property and materials.
- Enforce safety standards in line with company policy and government regulations.
- Comply with SCCT IT policy and ensure information security.
- Actively participate in relevant SCCT Continuous Improvement initiatives in ENG, Safety, etc
Job Requirements
Job Requirements:
- University degree, Faculty of Mechanical / Electrical Engineering,
- 1 year in Port Equipment or similar heavy Equipment. Preferably who got training courses on heavy Equipment.
- Ability to work on a shifting roaster, under pressure and solve problems.
- Computer literate and a working knowledge of MS Office.
- Reasonable English language oral, written communications and report writing skills.
- Very good skills of understanding and reading electrical/ Mechanical drawings also follow up diagrams.
- Have a proactive approach to fault finding, a commitment to continuous improvement, and personal development
- Valid Driving License.
