Job Description
- Possesses ability and expertise to program and plan healthcare facilities.
- Works with Principal in the development and analysis of the client’s building program.
- Works closely with doctors, nurses to reach consensus on concepts to address space needs.
- Offers and supports creative technical design and detailing decisions that are in line with project goals and understands their impact on cost, construction, sustainability and other factors
- Understands and leads the integration of code, zoning, industry best practices and other issues into the project
- Works on multiple projects of differing sizes simultaneously and independently
- Writes and presents reports, proposals, transmittals and permits.
- Demonstrates credible knowledge of current healthcare planning and programming concepts.
- Direct document production in accordance with identified project specific checklists, AECOM Healthcare Planning & Design Standards and our QA/QC standard program
- Works closely with project managers, contractors and consultants.
- Works with Healthcare Practice Group leaders in the development..
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in construction management, architecture, or related
- Gender: Male / Female
- Min 5 years’ experience
- Strong healthcare background, with multiple client relationships in Michigan market
- Experience in clinical planning leadership and knowledge of architectural design and code requirements
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
- Ability to facilitate the medical planning process to create department floor plan concepts reflective of defined Operation and Space Programs
- Good in English
