As a production engineer, you will have an extremely important role as you must ensure the company’s manufacturing process runs as efficiently as possible.
You must regularly check equipment to see it is in good working order; this helps create as much product as possible with a minimum of leftover scrap.
Ensuring project deadlines are met.
Analysis of the data found in charts, graphs and other forms of measuring information.
Analysis of operational issues and installation of new equipment.
Providing your team with technical support and training.

Having an excellent awareness of what the market and consumers need.
You must have extensive knowledge of statistics, design, mathematics, science and production systems.
You will also be expected to understand the many technological changes that take place as well as keeping up to date with improvements in manufacturing processes.
The ability to resolve problems in an efficient manner.
The capacity to communicate and present data clearly and effectively.
A complete understanding of manufacturing processes.
Successful application of health and safety practices.
Excellent leadership skills and a desire to work in a team environment.
