Job Description
- Form a close working relationship with the Managing Director, other Senior Executives, and Non Executives explaining reported results of operations, variances, develop trends, and make recommendations where applicable for improvement in earnings.
- Provide leadership to the Board’s Finance and Accounting strategy, to optimize the company’s financial performance and strategic position.
- Take overall control of the company’s accounting function
- Contribute fully to the development of company strategy across all areas of the business, challenging assumptions and decision-making as appropriate and providing financial analysis and guidance on all activities, plans, targets, and business drivers.
- Ensure that company financial systems are strong, compliant, and support current activities and future growth.
- Lead and develop finance teams.
- Work with senior teams to grow the business, formulating strategies, and plans.
- Ensure corporate budgeting processes are carried out and reviewed (for departments, facilities, and projects)
- Take ultimate responsibility for the company's cash management policies.
- Analyze profit and loss statements on a monthly basis to ensure correctness, compliance with customer contracts, and operational goals are being adhered to
- Develops and maintains financial models for benchmarking and process analysis.
- Prepares and communicate monthly and quarterly P&L forecasts quarterly and annual profits and prepare cost projections.
- Compare anticipated and actual results and identify areas of improvement.
- Participate in budgeting
- Conduct a thorough research of historical financial data, as needed
- Analyze and report on the current financial status
- Managing Cash-Days and finding ways to decrease
- Maintain the confidentiality of all financial information and investment decisions
Job Requirements
background / experience required
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting.
- 10 – 15 years of experience (preferably in large Accounting Firm)
- 5+ years of experience as a Senior Financial Analyst, or similar role
- Strong familiarity with financial databases
- Current knowledge and expertise in financial forecasting, financial data analysis and accounting laws and regulations under GAAP and IFRS
- Knows the economic environment and markets.
- Has an in-depth understanding of the competition (i.e. organization, strategy, products and services, etc.).
- Expertise in MS Excel and/or Google Sheets (creating spreadsheets and using formulas)
- Good Sense & Knowledge of Services Business
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred
