Job Description

  • Manage and develop a portfolio of prospects and existing customers through building a strong customer relationship to ensure that customers needs are recognized and met.
  • Establish customer agreements and ensure that pricing guidelines are always applied and profitability targets for customers are met. Ensure that customers’ prices are reviewed on regular basis and whenever any discrepancy arises between actual and promised volumes a re-negotiation takes place.
  • Develop and implement an approach to secure competitors account customers (Prospects) in the shortest time possible. Establish competitors account customers (Prospects) pipeline to support this approach and target the accordingly.
  • Exploit all new opportunities from existing and potential customers (Prospects) ensuring a maximum penetration of DHL in accessible market.
  • In conjunction with the Regional sales manager establish territory sales targets and ensure attainment of agreed revenue and shipment profitability targets.
  • Gaining new business and maximizes growth of existing account customers.
  • Develop sale strategies to support the company growth objectives.
  • Monitor customer performance, loyalty and satisfaction to measure success, business fluctuation and possible business at risk. Take appropriate corrective action internally and/or with the customer.
  • Continuously develop DHL knowledge, commercial awareness and own skills and abilities in order to provide the best possible standard of sales practices and maximize own contribution to selling process.
  • Ensure proper usage of the sales support processes (GSP) and tools such as MSM, COMET etc. ensuring that customer information is recorded and maintained and treated as a DHL
  • Ensure that E-com tools are consistently promoted to customers and implemented to achieve customer satisfaction and lowest cost per shipment transactions.
  • Promote DHL brand image and values through own appearance and behaviour so that it reflects DHL high standards and develops customers’ relationship.
  • As a part of the virtual sales team, support the Advantage Business Unit in Management of sub-accounts in the territory.
  • As security is a vital and integral part of our business and as such contributes to its overall success, line managers are responsible for compliance to DHL security policies and procedures.

Job Requirements

  • At least two year's previous sales experience
  • Selling skills
  • Fluency in both English & Arabic - written and spoken
  • DHL and competitor product knowledge
  • Customer service oriented
  • P.C. literate
  • Ability to handle stress in a competitive commercial environment
