Job Description
- To purchase all goods and assets for DHL Egypt to the best advantage in terms of price, quality, service and delivery.
- To research and analyze the sources of supply for all goods and services required by the co.
- To assist management with information about supplies and in the formulation of budget and forecast.
A-Responsibilities
- Issuing purchasing orders for all materials, coordinating the request and procurement for goods with all departments.
- Maintaining vendors files, stock lists and prices, endeavoring to obtain the best quality for the right price (Three quotations are mandatory).
- Ensuring all imported supplies are properly handled.
- To negotiate all contracts and pursue a low cost, high quality and service.
- Coordinating with fleet supervisor to control DHL Egypt vehicle fleet system.
- To research and analyze existing and potential supplies in terms of:
- Price and payment terms.
- Quality and variety of products Delivery.
- To offer an information service to the management team on all matters involving purchasing and services to the co.
- To liaise with Sales & Marketing on all matters connected with the use of advertising agencies and printing firms and to ensure that DHL policies in this regard are complied with.
- To ensure that there are standard specifications for all products. This to be done in close cooperation with the heads of department.
- To authorize rejection of products which are not to standard in conjunction with the receiving and store department.
- To assist in establishing the annual budget for capital expenditure.
- To keep accurate and detailed records of all orders placed and transactions combined up to the receipt of goods.
- The Purchasing Manager takes the decision in selecting a supplier. Decisions should be made carefully after analyzing each quotation received and not only by considering the lowest price.

- External The Purchasing Manager has frequent contacts with suppliers , and always looking for new suppliers in order to get best quality with acceptable price.
Dimensions:
- Responsible of total purchase with average amount of LE 3 millions yearly.
- Responsible of total assets purchases with total cost of 5 millions yearly.
Job Requirements
Skills
- University degree
- Good oral and written communication and interpersonal skills in both English and Arabic languages.
- Computer skills (excel– word).
- Good negotiation skills.

- At least 3 years experience in the same position.
