Job Description
We are looking for a PHP quality assurance engineer Full Stack (Back-end / Front-end) who will be responsible for testing back-end services and the interchange of data between the server and the users. Your primary focus will be the testing and re-testing of all server-side and user side logic and ensure high performance and responsiveness to requests from the front-end. You will also be responsible for testing the integration between elements built by your co-workers in the team. Therefore, a basic understanding of front-end technologies is necessary as well.
Job Responsibilities:
- Testing the integration of user-facing elements developed by front/back-end developers
- Test the efficiency, and re-usability of PHP modules
- Test the performance and the architecture of the systems
- Testing the integration of data storage solutions (may include databases, key-value stores, blob stores, etc.)
- Producing detailed user testing scenarios
- Testing the core product software and databases
- Contribute in all phases of the development lifecycle
- Follow industry best practices
Job Requirements
- BSc/MSc degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject is important
- 5 to 7 years of proven software development experience in PHP
- Experience with 4-tiers systems is a must
- Must have experience with working in MVC model
- Experience in testing applications built using SOA, SOAP, REST, and JSON is a must
- Experience in using NGINX and Apache
- Help maintain code quality, organization, and automation
- Understanding of open source projects like Joomla, Drupal, Wikis, etc
- Good knowledge of relational databases, version control tools and of developing web services
- Experience in common third-party APIs (Google, Facebook, eBay etc)
- Passion for best design and coding practices and a desire to develop new bold ideas
- Long and excessive hands-on experience in JavaScript/Ajax/jQuery/Dojo, HTML5/CSS3, PHP 5.5, MVC Architecture, SOA and SOAP, JSON and REST, Word press, CakePHP, Sublime, Dreamweaver, BootStrap, and PhoneGap
- 3+ years of experience working with HTML5
