Job Description
Purpose of Role:
- The ICO will participate in developing media and communication plans of Brooke Egypt and will contribute to and monitor its implementation.
- In particular the ICO will involve in fundraising, gathering and disseminating materials for communication information, after obtaining approvals of the ICO's supervisors.
- The ICO will act as liaison for the region's field staff in gathering stories, facts, data and photos to support Brooke Egypt’s fund-raising activities and publications as well as actively participating in raising awareness of Brooke Egypt and the issues that it addresses.
Key tasks and responsibilities will be:
- Writing, Editing, Designing and fundraising.
- Maintaining online communication and media database.
- Maintaining good relations with the Media.
Job Requirements
Qualifications & Skills:
- Education: University degree in Mass Communication with 3 years of solid experience, preferably AUC graduate. Or 5 years of progressive work experience in media relations, public information, journalism or relevant communication field.
- Excellent writing, editing, interviewing and proofreading skills both in Arabic and English: adept at writing clean, engaging copy under deadline pressure and respond quickly to a multitude of tasks.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills: ability to communicate effectively with co-workers and manage working relationships diplomatically, discretion and creatively.
- Excellent networking and partnership skills; ability to establish good working relationship with regional, national and local authorities.
- Excellent computer skills.
- Fluency in spoken and written Arabic and English are essential.
- Affinity with the charitable goal of the Brooke-organisation.
