Job Description

The ideal candidate will be responsible for client’s Social Media Channels management with strong project management skills, experience with all social media platforms, and an understanding of SEO principles. Knowledge and understanding of social media platforms and how they can be best used in different scenarios.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Strategize, define and execute customer’s social media plans. Including number and type of posts, frequency, creative ideas, and channels’ progress.
  • Work with clients and Account Mangers to create a social media strategy that collaborates with marketing, PR and advertising campaigns, research top influencers, competitors, and trends in clients' industries.
  • Create timely and engaging content calendar, optimized for platform used and intended audience. Write effective copy, blog, article and social media posts in Arabic and English, maintaining the tone of voice consistent with the client's/campaign’s objectives.
  • Work with moderation team and guide them into monitoring sites/groups for brand exposure opportunities and initiate conversations on behalf of the client.
  • Analyze and report social media actions on a monthly basis for successes and new opportunities.
  • Oversee the creation of engaging and professional visuals that reflect client and their brand (Customize social media pages (ex. Facebook, Twitter, Google+, YouTube
  • Stay current with social media trends and tools – includes attending networking and educational events, reading blogs, and listening to podcasts.
  • Oversee advertising visuals and messages and monitor progress vs. competitors.
  • Continue to refine and define the clients’ social marketing process.
  • Oversee effective visualization of content into images, videos, short clips, GIF’s, etc.
  • Collaborate with the moderation team monitor of client’s brands Social Media interaction using automated tools (English), manual monitor for transliterated Arabic.
  • Provide effective benchmarks /metrics for measuring the impact of social media programmes, and analyze, review, and report on effectiveness of campaigns in an effort to maximize results.
  • Participate in pitching new opportunities and monitor new opportunities for up-scaling scope with existing clients.

Job Requirements

Required Qualifications:

  • Writing: Social media managers will need to know how to write effective copy in a lot of different styles, for websites, twitter, Facebook, etc. Knowledge of writing for Search Engine Optimization (SEO) is also needed.
  • Research: Social media managers need to know what is happening in the fast changing world of social and digital media, what competitors are doing and what new measurement tools are being use.
  • Problem-Solving: Social media managers figure out how to best communicate a company's message on different platforms, and sometimes might need to convey sensitive issues or deal with angry customers.
  • Organization: There are many different platforms, and new ones are being developed all the time. How you communicate on each, determining audience, and measuring tactics all take organization.
  • Interpersonal Skills and team play.
  • Technical Skills: Social media managers work almost exclusively through computers.
  • Understanding computers, SEO, Internet access and being tech savvy is necessary.
