Job Description

  • Implement new business objectives for the area while ensuring alignment with department strategy.
  • Participate in the management of the department annual budget and control OPEX through optimizing the systems SLA and all related support contracts.
  • Handle planning and organizing of the area objective and how to achieve it.
  • Manage and administer Orange technology systems.
  • Manage the performance levels on all systems to meet and exceed required KPI.
  • Provide solutions, advices and support in developing, implementing and documenting disaster recovery strategies for systems.
  • Implement new systems as per design.
  • Provide assessment reports and detailed comparisons for new solutions offered to Orange.
  • Work closely with database and application support team to resolve common issues and to ensure smooth co-operation and coordinated planning.
  • Work closely with development teams to implement new and upgrade project smoothly fitting in Orange standards and maintain smooth operations.
  • Cooperate with project managers and consultants to achieve project goals.
  • Work closely with the capacity planning team to fulfill the new projects needs and the expected upgrades for the running systems.
  • Evaluate and recommend new technologies and products for his/her area.
  • Suggest new solutions for better optimization of current infrastructure.
  • Work closely with the InfoSec team to make sure that systems security is configured and maintained properly.
  • Work closely with the audit team to achieve and maintain the compliance.
  • Manage support contracts with suppliers and participate in the negotiation.
  • Conduct regular performance and competency evaluations for the team members while delivering constant constructive feedback for higher achievements and further development.

People Management

  • Provide coaching and request needed training for direct reports ensuring continuous individual development.
  • Ensure a healthy working environment for the department employees / assigned team through focusing on motivation initiatives.

  • Hold regular meetings with the team members to strengthen communication and ensures sharing the same objectives.

Job Requirements

Education

  • University degree from a reputable university from Computer Science or Engineering.
  • Post graduate studies in HR is highly recommended.

Experience

  • 4- 6 years in managing technology Operation.
  • Deep experience in data centers operation.
  • Deep experience in UNIX/Database/storage/Virtualization management in large production environment.
  • Deep experience in High Availability Solutions, Backup Solutions, Systems Recovery and Disaster Recovery.

Skills and abilities

  • Very good English both spoken and written.
  • Self-organized, self-motivated and able to work under pressure.
  • Quantitative and analytical skills.
  • Ability to effectively handle productivity software.
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills.
  • High reporting skills.
  • Good understanding of performance measurements and KPIs and their impact on business.
  • Proficient in developing and coaching people.
