Job Description
- Responsible for the production, modification, and maintenance of the website and its user interface.
- Work with designers in making semantic mark-up languages like XHMTL/CSS.
- Develop and implement back-end web code and design standards and writing clean, semantic code.
- Writing clean, fast PHP to a high standard, in a timely and scalable way.
- Troubleshooting, testing and maintaining the core product software and databases.
- Help front-end developers with coding and troubleshooting.
- Implement server-side codes to develop a complex and interactive website.
- Contribute in all phases of the development lifecycle.
- Develop and deploy new features to facilitate related procedures and tools if necessary.
- Ensuring high-performance and availability, and managing all technical aspects of the CMS.
- Helping formulate an effective, responsive design and turning it into a working theme and plugin.
- Developing custom web applications that drive business processes and e-commerce applications.
- Monitoring health and up-time of servers (general server admin in a managed services environment; no in-depth configuration required).
- Integrating with third-party APIs.
- Customizing WordPress to support specific functionality.
- Integrating shopping carts.
Working with offshore developers and designers on specific project deliverable to ensure scope, quality and timely delivery.
Job Requirements
- Bachelors Degree in Computer Science.
- 3+ years’ experience as a Back-end Developer, Strong current knowledge of internet technologies, standards and methodologies.
- Experience building services and APIs (Soap, XML) and integrating with external systems.
- Excellent knowledge with open source CMS platforms, in particular WordPress.
