Position Summary

• We are looking for an experienced Senior Buyer who will be cover both direct and indirect materials & services. Also, the talent would be developing and conducting analytics that would support category strategy development. This role would. Also be responsible of developing, engaging and supporting both the internal and external suppliers’ relationship management in the achievement of cost/performance targets and supply surety.
• The successful candidate for this position has experience in the manufacturing industry and a strong understanding of supply chain management concepts.

Accountabilities

• To develop and prepare RFP as necessary in accordance of the formal sourcing process to support buying decision.
• Knowledgeable and ability to keep abreast of markets through various means, information and analysis to manage the category with regards to price and supply both locally and regionally.
• To prepare and lead negotiation to deliver best Total Cost of Ownership. With familiarization of technique such as should cost, zero based pricing, etc, within the frame work of supply chain.
• To conduct formal sourcing techniques with effective engagement of stakeholders throughout the process to address concerns/questions and garner support.
• To collaborate with functional counterparts/stakeholders/customers on optimization of materials and services and develop necessary plan to manage and track results with view to reduce COGS
• Develop and support annual business plan development cycle such as Direct Standard cost of materials, services, budgeting, Key focus points, performance appraisal, contract review etc. as required from procurement tower lead.
• Manage day to day supplier relationship activities and manage/support procurement performance metrics
• Support, initiate, participate and lead in various company programs and projects, such as Supplier Risk and Compliance Management, product/material Life Cycle plan, VAVE-Cost, Continuous Improvement Programs, etc. as assigned.
