Job Description
- Keeping IT operations system running smoothly, to prevent problems and to improve systems’ performance.
- System administrator is there to keep the company’s network safe and running efficiently.
- Install, upgrade and monitor software and hardware.
- Install new / rebuild existing Antivirus server and do the required configuration peripherals, services, settings, directories, etc. in accordance with standards and project/operational requirements.
- Install new / rebuild existing servers and configure hardware, peripherals, services, settings, directories, storage, etc. in accordance with standards and project/operational requirements.
- They may also be involved in data backup and recovery.
- Perform daily backup operations, ensuring all required file systems and system data are successfully backed up to the appropriate media, recovery tapes or disks are created, and media is recycled and sent off site as necessary.
- Maintain the essentials such as operating systems, security tools, email, PCs, local and wide area networking both hardware and software and mid-range server hardware.
- Required to keep up to date on new developments in the technology industry, in case changes within the company have an impact on the business.
- Research and recommend innovative, and where possible automated approaches for system administration tasks. Identify approaches that leverage our resources and provide economies of scale.
- Modify existing software to correct errors, to adapt it to new hardware or to upgrade interfaces and improve performance
- Advise about, or perform, maintenance of software system
- Analyze information to determine, recommend and plan installation of a new system or modification of an existing system.
- Repair and recover from hardware or software failures. Coordinate and communicate with impacted constituencies.
- Consult with engineering staff to evaluate interface between hardware and software, develop specifications and performance requirements and resolve problems
- Coordinate installation of software system.
- Very good knowledge with virtualization (VMware, ESX and so on…)
- Above tasks could be altered or amended according to business needs.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor of computer science or any equivalent bachelor
- MCTS (windows 7) or later
- MCTS (windows 2008 Active directory) or later
- MCTS(windows 2008 application) or later
- MCTS (windows 2008 Infrastructure) or later
- MCITP (Server administrator 2008) or MSCE Win 2012 or later.
- MCITP (Enterprise Messaging Administrator Exchange 2007) or later version (2010 or 2013)
