Job Description
Job Responsibilities:
- Reviews the target text by comparing it to the source text, ensuring that the translations provided are accurate, coherent and consistent;
- Revises and edits translations to ensure that they conform to the Foundation’s standards and guidelines
- Corrects factual, logical, spelling and grammatical errors;
- Aligns the structure and style of translations with the Foundation’s quality standards and verify conformity;
- Conducts training and feedback sessions with translators to enhance their performance;
- Receives feedback from senior reviewers, and acts accordingly;
- Maintains ethical codes that protect the confidentiality of information.
Job Requirements
Qualification and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in English Arts, Translation & Linguistics, or other relevant field;
- Excellent command of both English and Arabic;
- 5+ years of experience in translation/revision.
Skills:
- Fluency in both English and Arabic;
- Excellent knowledge of translation and editing techniques;
- Excellent writing skills and command of grammar;
- Attention to details combined with the ability to meet deadlines;
- Time management skills;
- Problem Solving skills;
- Self-motivation;
- Eagerness to learn and acquire new knowledge;
- Effective communication skills;
- Work under pressure.
