Job Description

  • ACF is an international non-governmental, private, apolitical, non-religious and non-profit organization created in 1979. Its goal is to combat hunger and dangerous situations that threaten men, women and children. Currently 500 expats and more than 5,000 employees are working for ACF in more than forty-six countries working in projects concerning four areas of focus: nutrition, health, food security and water and sanitation.

GENERAL OBJECTIVES

  • The Logistics assistant will support the capital logistician in the logistics management of Action Against Hunger Logistics KIT Policy which includes the procurement process regarding the Health center, the Water Authority and the Health Campaign, transport and delivery of all the items, stock management, fleet management, overall to ensure an efficient implementation of the project.
  • The logistics assistant will have a micro-management responsibility in supporting the Capital logistician, the water-sanitation officer, the community officer and the Project Manager in selecting, transporting, delivering and installing the medical equipment, medical furniture and the water stations, in each place allocated for each item under a strict and clear communication and joint work with the Health Directorate, the Water Authorities and the Urban Upgrading Unit. As logistics assistant, he/she will assist his/her project team in the communication and decision-making of the entire procurement process.

Job Requirements

CANDIDATE PROFILE:

  • High School certificate with professional experience in logistic/clerical work. University degree preferred on Business Administration, Industrial Engineering or related
  • Supply Chain management, basic Medical Equipment engineering, basic IT knowledge, Fleet management.
  • 2 years minimum experience working on projects at humanitarian aid organizations and/or international donors.
  • High ethical principles, work under pressure, flexibility with unexpected events, organized and methodical.
  • Knowledge of windows domain, intermediate Excel level desirable, Intermediate Microsoft word and PowerPoint desirable
  • Native Arabic speaking and fluency in the English (spoken and written).
  • Able to understand the context and travel to project sites
