Job Description
- Tqweem is looking for a QA Software Tester to join our Team. We are seeking a talented QA professional who is comfortable with clarifying the requirements and to build solid use cases that will immediately improve our manual and automated software testing process.
- Candidate should be able to create automated tests for the backend and UI as well as write unit tests for the backend and frontend and work with the system’s engineer to integrate such tests into the continuous delivery process.
Responsibilities
- Work with the stakeholders to develop and understand detailed business requirements.
- Develop and execute test scripts for requirement validation, integration, regression, performance and usability testing.
- Report and communicate bugs/errors to the relevant team member and follow through on resolution.
- Create and maintain reusable test data.
- Receive and analyze internal issues and questions from the content management team and external issues from the user base to determine whether solution requires software development.
- Maintain understanding of current and new testing technologies.
- Assist with assessing user training needs and training development and delivery.
- Research and recommend different tools for managing testing as well as automated testing technologies.
- Reporting weekly on solution stability, missing functionality and bugs as well as the coverage of the solution tests and of the implemented use cases.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering preferred.
- 2+ year’s professional experience in QA Software Testing.
- At least two years’ relevant experience in both Manual Testing & Automated testing with tools such as Selenium.
- One or more years working in an Agile environment.
- Strong knowledge of web application testing, rest services and web service testing.
- Strong familiarity with all stages of the software development life cycle as well as Software QA testing including system, integration, unit testing, regression testing, performance and user acceptance testing.
- Good knowledge in programming JavaScript, Python.
- Very good knowledge in writing e2e and unit tests.
- Ability to write and understand basic SQL queries to perform data verification and set up test data.
- Demonstrated knowledge of operating systems including Linux as well as the ability to write bash and/or batch scripts to run tests and automated tests.
- Experience with QA tools and techniques, and bug tracking systems (e.g. JIRA).
- Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git.
- Preferred Technical and Professional Experience
- Experience in continuous integration and delivery systems such as Jenkins.
- Experience with Scrum (preferably Jira).
- Experience with Docker and Docker compose.
- Experience with testing mobile web development frameworks such as Cordova, Ionic or Phone-Gap.
- Knowledge of the Django framework.
- Experience with Arquilian framework.
