Research Analyst (Surveys, Religion, Identity)

OVERVIEW

• The Tabah Futures Initiative was established in 2016 as a research and praxis unit dedicated to providing its clientele with timely and relevant analysis, knowledge and clear thinking on local, regional and global trends, enabling them to engage with the future implication of those shifts.
• The role of Research Analyst will work in close proximity to the Head of TFI on all aspects of work related to the unit. We are looking for someone who has an interest in issues at the nexus of religion and the wider world and thinks critically and analytically about current affairs. Currently, we are focused on the Arab world though not restricted to it.

This role will be based in Cairo, Egypt.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Research & Analysis

• Lead and coordinate the execution of survey projects with supervision from Head of TF, encompassing design of survey instrument, cross analysis of data, report writing and follow up activities related to surveys.
• Develop a method and tools for conducting online surveys and polls and lead in the execution of this.
• Compile and analyze quantitative and qualitative data from interviews, and focus groups
• Conduct literature reviews for papers and briefs.
• Compile, abstract, synthesize, analyze and organize data and information from various sources into papers and summarized form (reports, memos).

Symposium and Events

• Attend local meetings, seminars, conferences where necessary.
• Participate in creating an annual plan of seminars, roundtables, meetings and lectures, and identify speakers, participants and topics for the annual plan.

Editorial/Communications

• Author/Co-author short analytical articles to the TFI blog.

Administrative Support

• Provide general administrative assistance where needed to the Head of TFI.
