Job Description
Job Purpose:
-
To support distribution of shipments in the operations by efficiently receiving, sorting, scanning, and labelling.
Job Description:
- Ensure that shipments are handled in a proper and safe manner so that no damages occur.
- Expedite loading & unloading of vehicles.
- Scan and capture each and every shipment on the system.
Key Responsibilities:
- Loading & Unloading shipments
- Reconcile inbound, outbound, and transit shipments against the run sheet
- Ensure damage or shortages and reported to team leader or supervisor
- Scan and label shipments
- Sort and segregating bulk and small Shipments into appropriate areas based on their status
- Follow SOP and best safety practices while handling shipments
Job Requirements
Minimum Qualification / Experience / Training:
- High School or equivalent
- Minimum of 2-3 years’ experience in goods delivery or courier services
- Physically fit and can lift heavy packages and objects.
- With verbal and written communication
Technical Knowledge:
- Knowledge of automated or computerized system operation
- Knowledge of record keeping practices
- Knowledge of safety practices
