Job Description
- Responsible for the Accounting function and for Accounting service delivery in the sub-sub-region / country.
- Responsibility for monthly, quarterly and annual reporting under IFRS/Group accounting standards as well as under local GAAP.
- Functional and disciplinary leadership for Heads of/Managers Accounting - Countries in the sub-sub-region.
- Functional and disciplinary leadership for the Country Accounting Organization and staff involved in accounting processes.
- Functional and disciplinary leadership for staff working in the area of Projects and Internal Controls over Financial Reporting in country.
- Ensures and reviews compliance with global organization standards, system & process standards and standard procedures in the sub-region / country for Accounting.
- Ensures and reviews compliance with accounting related laws as well as internal and external rules and regulations in the sub-region / country for Accounting.
- Ensures and reviews compliance regarding segregation of duties, internal controls and key controls in the sub-region / country for Accounting.
- Ensures and reviews quality of financial reporting in the sub-region / country
- Responsible for preparation of statutory reporting and compliance with statutory reporting requirements for legal entities in the country.
- Ensures and reviews documentation of systems & processes and documentation of organization in the sub-region / country for Accounting.
- Continuous improvement of accounting organization and systems & processes in the sub-region / country for Accounting.
- Accounting budget adherence for the sub-region / country as well as responsibility for organizational efficiency in the sub-region / country for Accounting.
- Coordination of project work in the sub-region / country for Accounting.
- Ensures alignment with Head of Accounting - Global.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor degree of business administration with specialization in accounting or similar
- Post graduate certification in Accounting
- Strong Knowledge of IFRS & local GAAP know how
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in accounting
- Minimum of 4 years of managing teams
- Excellent communication & presentation skills
