Your Responsibilities will include:
- Perform both back-end and front-end development, including creating WordPress themes and plugins.
- Establishing and guiding the website’s architecture.
- Ensuring high-performance and availability, and managing all technical aspects of the CMS.
- Knowledge of how to interact with RESTful APIs.
- Helping formulate an effective, responsive design and turning it into a working theme and plugin.
Job Requirements
Our Ideal Candidate Has:
- BS or BA degree related to Software Engineering.
- 4-6 years of relevant WordPress technical experience.
- Expertise in translating designs into mobile first, performant front-end experiences.
- Experience with performance enhancement and caching methods / technologies such as Memcache, Redis, varnish, object and fragment caching.
- Experience working with WordPress REST API and Multisite.
- Experience with designing and optimizing MySQL queries.
- Built and operated WordPress as a CMS at scale (1 MM+ monthly unique) is a big plus.
