Job Description
- Lead the team to achieve the company targets in terms of Cost saving, Availability, Payment facilities.
- Lead the IDM team to achieve the VOT:-
- V = Purchase with the best value.
- O = on time in full deliveries.
- T = Provide to IDM customers with the latest technology available in the market.
- Apply / Update the min – max. Plan for the high runners.
- Ensure of implementing the company / purchasing policies (Purchasing policy / Procedure, Code of Conducts, conflict of interest, Separation of duties and Extra…..) within the IDM team.
- Set the IDM purchasing strategy for the assigned purchasing division.
- Manage the team to set the sourcing strategy for the assigned commodities.
- Manage the team to prepare the IDM annual Budget actions for the assigned commodities in contribution to the Procurement Budget.
- Manage the team to plan and execute actions to achieve, secure and exceed the budgeted savings.
- Manage the team to identify additional backup actions to recover deviation vs budget.
- Manage the team to analyse the market for potential new suppliers.
- Control the RFQs (Request for quotations) to suppliers.
- Lead the team to negotiate prices and conditions with Suppliers.
- Prepare and manage the 12 Month Cost saving Activity Plan.
- Manage the team to prepare the FBS and vendor selection criteria.
- Manage the team for continuous market analyses to search of new potential suppliers.
- Manage the team to develop and maintain a strong and reliable supplier’s base.
- Support Purchasing Manager in his\her tasks and objectives.
- Ensure an up to date administration of documentation, databases and required reporting.
- Provide the organization information to\from suppliers.
- Day-to-day liaising and support of IDM customers and other functions in relation to their respective tasks.
- Lead, manage or contribute to assigned projects.
- Participate, guide and support all department employees to contribute in performing the quality, environmental and occupational health& safety systems effectively.
- Support the role of the department to highlight its leadership on its responsibility areas for quality, environmental and occupational health& safety systems.
Job Requirements
- Qualifications: B.Sc. of mechanical engineering, commercial, or economic studies.
- Experience: 7+ years of experience (At least 5 years as a technical purchasing manager).
- Skills: Excellent English language skills.
- Excellent Computer literature.
