Job Description
- Responsible for the maintenance, configuration, and reliable operation of computer systems, network servers, and virtualization
- Nurture dependable IT infrastructure and networking that’s always up and running
- Perform server administration tasks, including user/group administration, security permissions, group policies, print services, research event log warnings and errors, and resource monitoring, ensuring system architecture components work together seamlessly
- Monitor datacenter health using pre-existing management tools and respond to hardware issues as they arise; help build, test, and maintain new servers as needed
- Maintain internal infrastructure requirements including, laptop and desktop computers, servers, routers, switches, firewalls, printers, phones, security updates; support internet, intranet, LANs, WANs, and network segments
- Performing analysis of network security needs and contributes to the design, integration, and installation of hardware and software.
- Perform VMWare administration tasks
- Manage daily operations of the IT department
- Setting up new users' accounts and profiles and dealing with password issues.
- Resolve technical problems with Local Area Networks (LAN), Wide Area Networks (WAN), and other systems.
- Create backup Schedule to ensure all required file systems and system data are successfully backed up to the appropriate media
- Follow up regular upgrades for all devices and applications.
- Solve All kinds of problems relating to software & hardware
Job Requirements
- BSc/BA in IT, Computer Science or related technical field is preferred
- 4 - 6 years minimum of relevant experience in technical support and maintenance of computer software hardware and systems.
- MCSE, MCSA and CCNA certifications are a plus.
- Hands on experience with as much of the following (Microsoft Office 365, Dell Servers, Sophos UTM, Kaspersky Endpoint Security for Business, Cisco/HP/Linksys switches, routers and firewalls, Printers, Scanners, Copiers, Using Helpdesk software).
- Experience in supporting end users on a corporate network; specifically support involving Servers, Windows servers, Subnets, Routers, VLAN's, DHCP, DNS, Network Shares, Network Storage, File/Print services, Directory Services, Etc. is preferred.
- Experience in VMware vSphere 6.7, Veeam Backup & Replication, Kaspersky admin center and Sophos XG Firewall
- Above average knowledge of networking protocols, especially TCP/IP.
- Excellent problem solving, troubleshooting and multitasking skills.
- Minimum 4 years’ experience in System Administration and Technical support role
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Good interpersonal skills.
