Specific activities may include boiler-making, engine rebuilds, light vehicle and truck mechanics, auto electrical repairs and installations, general fitting and field fitting.
Recommend and conduct training and supervision of national employees.
Inspect and monitor work in progress and ensure quality standards are maintained.
Co-ordinate activities of units.
Assist with monitoring inventory of all plant, parts and equipment and copy a list to the regional offices on a weekly base.
Travel to sites as required to undertake maintenance activities.
Complete job record report sheets for all equipment maintained and copy a report to regional office’s and maintenance heads e.g. weekly and monthly check lists.
Complete daily time sheets and copy to regional offices.
Ensure compliance to safe work policies and procedures, and maintain a safe and tidy work environment.
Assist in the development of maintenance procedures.
Adherence to site safety policies and procedures.
Minimize parts wastage.
Undertake preventative maintenance as per the preventative maintenance program and help in the scheduling and programming of maintenance to be carried out

Technical Diploma in Surveying or Mining Engineering or equivalent,
Minimum 3 years’ experience of related experience in mining industry or large-scale civil earthworks,
Good knowledge of computer programs (including Excel & Surpac),
Experience with field survey equipment (total stations, laser levels etc).
Competent at advanced level of English (written and spoken) for Lead Surveyor.
Willingness to work in construction/mining environment.
Work long hours (eg 12 hours days), on a work roster (20 days on, 10 days off) in all weather in challenging and remote conditions,
Safety focused – Understanding safe work process and ensuring safety across work area.
Competent literacy in Arabic.
Good English language skills preferred where applicable, for identified roles.
Ability to work proactively,
Ability to learn quickly,
Previous working experience in mining, civil/construction, industry advantageous, but NOT essential.
Multicultural work environments preferred,
Holder of a valid driver’s licences.
