Job Description
We are looking for an Android Developer who possesses a passion for pushing mobile technologies to the limits and will work with our team of talented engineers to design and build the next generation of our mobile applications.
- Design and build advanced applications for the Android platform
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
- Unit-test code for robustness, including edge cases, usability, and general reliability.
- Work on bug fixing and improving application performance.
- Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency.
- Design and develop advanced applications for the Android platform
- Design and implement sophisticated features in existing Android applications
- Collaborate with the product team to plan, design and execute new features
- Troubleshooting bugs in Android applications
- Analyze and optimize Android applications
- Write unit and UI tests to identify malfunctions
- Produce fully functional mobile applications writing clean, testable code
- Support the entire application lifecycle (concept, design, test, release and support)
- Maintaining existing code-base
Job Requirements
Skills and Abilities
- Experience with third-party libraries and APIs
- Working knowledge of the general mobile landscape, architectures, trends, and emerging technologies
- Solid understanding of the full mobile development life cycle
- Extensive knowledge and experience with Java and Android Development
- Experience with Linux
Nice to Have Skills:
- Strong Object Oriented Programming Skills
- Strong sense of system architecture as it relates to mobile apps
- Experience with version control systems such as SVN
- Experience in publishing apps to Google Play, Certificates, and Provisioning Profiles
- Solid understanding of user interaction concept differences between Android devices and versions of Android
- Solid understanding of UI / UX design
- Excellent debugging and problem-solving ability
- Knowledge of Agile techniques (Scrum)
- Solid OOP and software design knowledge
- Write clean, efficient, elegant code
- Knowledge of the Android SDK performance tools and optimization techniques
- Interest and ability to learn other programming languages as needed
