Job Description
The Sales Executive has overall sales and business development responsibility for customer relationships and performance of an assigned customer portfolio.
This person will directly report to the Business development manager and will be based in Alexandria office.
Key Responsibilities
- Manages assigned customers and budget base; pursues and secures business in line with the business objectives
- Probes and identifies customer needs and provides solutions
- Builds a good understanding of target customers and the assigned account base
- Communicates significant trends, rate changes and policies to assigned accounts
- Researches and understands the territory to identify and establish business contacts with potential customers
- Researches and analyses competitive and industry trends
- Ensures customer relationship management tools are updated on time and are of excellent quality
- Is typically responsible for medium impact customers to the business in any size cluster.
Job Requirements
Who we are looking for
- Graduate of Bachelor’s Degree
- At least 2 years working experience in a customer facing sales role, ideally within the logistics/ shipping or freight forwarding industry.
- Great relationship building skills/ very customer service oriented
- Well- developed communication, persuasiveness, influencing and presentation skills
- Strong negotiation skills
- Resilient, tenacious and persistent
- Self- motivated and performance driven
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and other computer applications
